halfway up the hill, in the soil
4"x6"
Printed Zine, 2023
“halfway up the hill, in the soil” is a personal exploration of
the concept of "home," presented through this booklet.
Rooted in obscure recollections of my time living in Hong Kong, the booklet is divided into three parts: Camellia, Osmanthus, and Willow, containing a series of prose poems reflecting rituals, objects, and the natural world.
Opening the booklet feels like stepping into a misty house on the hillside, with fragments of memory buried in the soil. It is a journey of introspection and nostalgia, inviting readers to delve into the essence of what constitutes “home” for me.
